About SatCalcs

SatCalcs is a free tool site for the numbers behind test day: what raw answers convert to, how test dates combine into a superscore, where a score ranks, and how the SAT story maps onto the ACT. Eight tools cover the Digital SAT (2024+), the paper SAT (2016–2023), the ACT in both its Classic and Enhanced 2025+ formats, and the PSAT with its Selection Index.

Every tool runs the same way: enter real inputs, get a real conversion — and get the range around it. Nothing you type is uploaded; all math runs in your browser, and there is no signup anywhere on the site.

Where the numbers come from

Three official sources anchor everything. The ACT↔SAT converter uses the jointly published 2018 concordance tables (ACT 36 ↔ SAT 1570–1600, 30 ↔ 1360–1380, 24 ↔ 1160–1190). Percentiles use College Board's published SAT user percentiles for recent graduating classes (1400 = 93rd, 1300 = 86th, 1200 = 75th). And raw-to-scaled conversions follow the score ranges College Board publishes with its practice materials — shown as ranges (±20 per section) because every administration is equilibrated separately. Where a curve isn't public, we say so instead of inventing precision.

What this site is not

Not affiliated with the College Board, ACT, Inc. or NMSC. Not an official score report — your official conversion comes only with your score. Not an admissions calculator: middle-50% bands decide college fit, and they move every year. And not a source of fake single-number conversions — any site that promises an exact scaled score before equating publishes is selling confidence it doesn't have.

SatCalcs is part of a small independent network of tool sites, including ring size tools, painting cost calculators and trade calculators. Questions or corrections: contact page.
